Collage with us

Bring your team or group along to That Paper joint, where Max and Zoe (& Franky the dog) will guide you through our step-by-step process, showing you how to create your own works of collage art.

We’re a process-driven studio and rather than working from an example, we teach you the mindset, skills, and techniques to create your own unique designs using our second-hand, recycled, and donated materials.

We even show you an ingenious way to collage without glue, freeing you up to create & capture numerous, re-mixed artworks, either on your own or collaboratively!

With snacks included and BYO drinks, your team will find a great balance between getting hands-on and having a laugh.

In the 3hr window, we can either run our usual 3hr session or we can shorten it to 2.5hrs leaving half an hour for you to have a drink/chat at the end.

What our participants say

Your Hosts

Maximillian Malone

All our workshops (unless otherwise stated), are hosted by that paper joint’s founder, Maximillian Malone.

Max has a casual & easy-going style for sharing his expertise. With years of experience teaching his passion to others, Max has developed a unique & attentive approach, able to assist & guide your creative experience, regardless of previous skill, background, or ability.

In his company he aims to make everyone feel welcome and at ease inside the studio, and his love for the medium of collage is absolutely infectious! Above all, Max tries to instill his core belief that ‘an artist is not a special kind of person, but every person is a special kind of artist.’

Zoe Crook

During our workshops, you’ll also be in the company of that paper joint’s co-founder Zoe Crook, who brings an extra level of care and hospitality experience to all of our creative sessions.

Her empathetic nature and compassionate presence provide the foundation of our comfortable, warm, and inviting atmosphere. Rest assured in Zoe’s hands, you’ll be looked after and relaxed to enjoy every moment.

Franky Rocket

Our most popular team member is our hairy front-of-house pup.
She’s a very good girl and is adjusting well to her ‘shop dog’ responsibilities.
She looks forward to meeting you.
